I’m a wife turned mother… Turned birth nerd… Turned nurse… Turned Birth Doula in Marquette, Michigan

From a ‘failed’ homebirth to an unmedicated hospital birth…

I used my own experiences to fuel a tornado of self education and courses leading me to where I am today: in love with sharing the empowerment of birth through education and passion. When I first heard the term “birth junkie,” I knew they were talking about me!

My doctor wanted to do an ultrasound to check on the baby and was worried he was measuring too big for me to have the type of delivery I wanted.   • Having individualized care and guidance in this journey can make all the difference. My job will be to get to know you, explore the options that stand out to you, and help you grow into your own empowerment. If that sounds like the advocate you want on your side, then yes I think we’d be a great fit!

  • My love for birth isn’t rooted in one philosophy or idealogy, one place or one type of care provider. My love stems from assisting women in one of their biggest moments, the day (or night) that they’ll never forget. It’s my goal to have every woman realize her own autonomy and strength in birth, and be able to carry that into parenthood.

  • My services cover explorations into fears and misinformation about birth, birth planning, informed decision making, advocating for your decisions and rights during birth, options, interventions, tools for your birth support and tools for labor sensations, and what to expect and how to plan for your postpartum.
    Whether you just need someone to help you plan your birth or your looking for the full doula package, I am honored and grateful to be a part of your journey.
